Feature :- Real Life product installation - Andy Baxter

Our house is 150 years old with stone walls and slightly open to the elements. We had a Worcester Highflow 400 installed which was doing what it does best, plenty of hot water and all our heating requirements taken care of.

Just before Christmas I realised I could do more. We have a south to south west facing roof and a growing passion for the green revolution. As soon as the weather turned we installed a FKT Greenskies system integrated into the roof along with a 24i Greenstar system boiler. After a month we noticed the difference.

Being an engineer I have a bad habit (which I share with many other engineers) in that every time I’m home I have to make a visit to the solar pump station (sad but true). Just last week it gave our family 250 litres of hot water without the boiler switching on. Fantastic!!

It’s also had an effect around the home. We now recycle everything we can.

Our final point is that I can now tell future customers, “Yes I do have Worcester Greenskies solar installed at home” and it gives them chance to come and see first hand how it works.
